Working For The Grand Prairie You Love
Loving Our Neighborhoods
Our neighborhoods are the soul of Grand Prairie. Defending local control by enforcing the highest design and amenity standards for any new development. I will fight for safer, walkable streets and ensure that our infrastructure is prioritized. A Grand Prairie you love is one where neighbors come before developers.
Loving Our Legacy
Grand Prairie was built by the hard work of our seniors, and you deserve to enjoy the fruits of that labor without being priced out. Protecting the Senior Property Tax Freeze and expanding Senior Home Repair grants to help long-time neighbors stay where they belong: home.
Loving Our Future
To love our future, we must invest in it today. Investing in 'Grand Prairie First' initiatives that offer incentives to companies hiring local and partnering with our schools for job training. We are building a Grand Prairie that our children won't just inherit—they’ll want to call home.
About Amber Timberlake
Leadership. Service. Advocacy.
Leadership, Service, and Advocacy aren't just words to me—they are the blueprint of my career and my commitment to District 3. As an SMU Law graduate and former Federal civil rights attorney, I have spent years navigating the intersection of law and community needs. My background in federal housing law gives me a unique, professional edge in protecting our neighborhoods and ensuring our city’s growth is handled with transparency, accountability, and with residents in mind.
While my professional history is rooted in advocacy, my heart is rooted in service. Since May 2024, I’ve had the honor of leading Feed the City Grand Prairie, an initiative that has allowed me to serve our residents directly and see firsthand the strength of our community. My dedication to lifting others continues through my work on the board for the Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas Women’s Advocacy Awards, where I fight to ensure every voice is heard.
Originally from Dallas, I found my true home in Grand Prairie three years ago. Recently, my family and I planted permanent roots by purchasing our home right here in District 3. I am running for City Council because as a neighbor, a mother, and a homeowner, I have a personal stake in our city’s success. I am ready to use my legal expertise and my passion for service to be a champion for our neighborhoods, a protector of our legacy, and a visionary for our future. I am Amber Timberlake, and I am working for a Grand Prairie you love.
